Municipal & DOT Services
We offer a roadside tree and vegetation management and removal package of services for municipalities and DOT. From invasive brush vegetation to encroaching overhead limbs to nuisance and hazardous trees, we arethe solution to improve road rights-of-ways making passage safer and preserving ditches and roadways.

Brush & Vegetation Management: Brush and immature trees that grow subcanopy can encroach a roadway as the trees encroach the roadway where sun is present. Forestry mulching is a fast and efficient management tool. Hand cutting and removal offers a cleaner option for sensitive areas.

Overhead Trimming: Trimming back encroaching overhead limbs periodically ensures proper clearance for traffic, particularly large trucks. Even limbs that are above clearance could impede the roadway under load from snow or ice. Maintaining trimmed back canopy can also protect the road surface from moisture stagnation and penetration. Maximizing sun exposure can help the roadway dry faster from rain and melt faster after snowstorms which also curbs the possibility of icing.

Hazard & Nuisance Tree Removal: In some cases, it is best to eliminate whole trees from the ROW. Trees can become a nuisance when the entire canopy is crowding the roadway. As these trees grow, they develop a natural lean and long reaching limbs that become a constant nuisance to the roadway. Trees growing against pavement can damage roadways as the roots and stumps push into and up against pavement. Hazardous trees with rot, fractures, or overall bad health should be removed as well.
