Technical Tree Removal

Tree Removal isn't always as simple as notching the tree at the base, making a back cut until you have a sturdy hinge and letting the tree fall on its own. In a perfect situation it can be that simple. However, trees aren't always located in the perfect location for felling. Hiring a professional arborist with expert skillset, the proper equipment, and most importantly licensing and insurance is necessary in those not-so-perfect situations. We employ the best crew and equipment available to the industry to take down trees of all sizes and located in some of the most difficult situations. â€‹â€‹

Knuckle boom cranes offer incredible versatility in traditionally difficult and unsafe scenarios. Our crane extends to 110 feet and features a grapple saw head. It will safely grab a section of limb, treetop or trunk wood, cut it from the bottom and lower the piece to the ground by remote control. This results in reduced risk, more control and a cleaner, less impacted work area.

Bucket trucks have always been a staple in the tree service industry. Everyone has seen one in action for utility work, etc. They take some risk out of tree work, and they do have applications that the knuckle boom crane isn't practical for. Often times, a bucket truck can be used alongside cranes where a section of tree is grappled or rigged from above and cut from below making the process faster and more controlled. They are also great for simple tree trims as well.

Climbing, rigging, and felling will always be the backbone skillset of the tree service industry. Not all machines are able to solve every situation. That is where an expert tree climber and rigger can shine over any machine. We employ expert climbers who are also professional tree fellers.

Cable cranes have long been in our repertoire for removing the large white pines so common in the state of Maine. While we do not own one in house, we do have a go-to crane company and operator that we will bring on to assist with large trees in delicate locations like near buildings, septic systems, etc.

Tree trimming can be required in many situations where a healthy or sentimental tree has undesirable limbs causing problems from being in the way when mowing the lawn to trapping moisture on a roof or close to a structure to dead limbs that endanger both life and property and more.

Ice dropping trees is a great option when conditions allow. After obtaining proper permitting from town code enforcement or DEP, trees can be felled on the ice and removed with much less hassle than removing them in the warmer months.

Stump grinding is the best option for removing those nuisance stumps. Our subcontractor is extremely thorough, grinds below grade and chases exposed roots.
